As millions of Filipinos flock to cemeteries to pay respects to their departed loved ones, RESCUE5 and NEWS5 AKSYON CENTER will be on alert around the clock to assist Kapatids via Aksyon Undas 2012.
From October 31 to November 1, the emergency response and public service units of NEWS5 will set up 24-hour first-aid stations and public assistance desks in Manila North and South Cemeteries. Those commemorating their departed loved ones in these areas can avail of the following services for free: wheelchair assistance for senior citizens, blood pressure monitoring, drinking water stations in partnership with Maynilad, phone calls via SMART Communications, and electronic device charging through One Meralco Foundation.
NEWS5 will continue delivering live and real-time reports in different points in key cities. From cemeteries to bus terminals, to airports and sea ports, NEWS5 will be available to guide motorists, passengers and visitors during the long weekend.
RESCUE5 will also air road safety information plugs to guide motorists who will be going to the provinces.
Stay tuned to TV5, Aksyon TV, Radyo Singko 92.3 News FM and InterAksyon.com for the latest news in the observance of All Saints’ Day.
